I AM HERE

Growing up I lived in many cities and changed many homes. "Where is home" is most difficult question for me to answer. I guess one constant home for me was my dadaji & mataji's home in my hometown meerut. We used to visit every summer vacation. Dadaji and mataji are no more and the house has been sold. What I remember most is how as a child I went on countless imagined adventures in that house. I remember my mataji in the kitchen and the strong smell of sarso. She used sarso oil to cook almost everything. I miss her terribly. Later in her life she had dementia. She taught me so much about keeping the child in you alive.
